As shared in our TD announcements over the past two weeks, we are excited to introduce a new program commencing in 2026: Master Class Sessions with Sensei Brian Cox. Please find further details below.
This program offers an additional development pathway designed to complement regular dojo training.
Sessions will be held once a month on Sundays, at our Lugarno Dojo, running from 09:30–14:30. Each session includes 2 × 2-hour training blocks with a 1-hour lunch break in between.
The dojo is located at Lugarno Public School, Assembly Hall. Onsite parking is available via the driveway before the pedestrian crossing. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
Classes will focus on the Dan Grading syllabus.
Training is open to all Brown and Black Belts, with a particular emphasis on supporting Instructors (technical alignment) and Dan Grading candidates seeking to strengthen specific areas ahead of their 2026 grading assessment.
Dan Grading candidates are reminded that any gaps identified during screening must be addressed through regular dojo training. The Master Class program serves as an additional development opportunity, not a replacement.
A class fee of $20 applies to cover costs. Resident Dojo Instructors (excluding Assistants) are welcome to attend free of charge. Payment is to be made in cash on the day to Sensei Michael Clay.
Session dates:
Sunday 1 March
Sunday 22 March
Sunday 19 April
Sunday 31 May
Sunday 14 June
Sunday 9 August
Sunday 6 September

There is no registration link for these classes. You are welcome to show up on the day, however, it would be most helpful if you sent a brief email to Michael Clay Sensei (mclay1@gmail.com) with a few days’ notice to inform him about your plans.
If you require any further clarification or support, please feel free to reach out to me.
